Indigenous Artist – Transit Shelter Art Designs’ opportunity
City of Prince Albert, Prince Albert
Deadline: September 22, 2025 - September 30, 2025
The City of Prince Albert is thrilled to announce the launch of a Call for Indigenous Arts for Transit Shelter Art Designs, inviting Indigenous visual artists to submit original artwork that celebrates the spirit of our community.
This exciting new initiative, led by the City’s Arts & Culture Division with the Community Development Department and in alignment with the Municipal Cultural Action Plan, aims to highlight and celebrate the Indigenous peoples of Prince Albert—their identity, culture, and creativity. The Transit Shelter Art will enhance the transit experience with bright, welcoming, and meaningful artwork, contributing to a sense of community pride and belonging.
Three designs will be selected in this first phase of the project (two for metal designs/shelter backs and one vinyl wrap shelter back), with the potential for additional selections in future phases. Each selected artist/artwork will receive a $1,000 honorarium.
Who can apply:
Indigenous visual artists residing in Saskatchewan. Submissions are especially encouraged from artists in Prince Albert and area, and from underrepresented groups including 2SLGBTQIA+ individuals, deaf persons, persons with disabilities, and youth.
Submission requirements:
Original digital artwork in JPEG format, created specifically for this call. Please refer to the full submission package for complete specifications and requirements.
