Saskatchewan Archaeological Society


The Saskatchewan Archaeological Society (SAS) creates and fosters a deeper public understanding of archaeology and archaeological information, and encourages public support for the preservation of archaeological resources in Saskatchewan, in Canada, and worldwide. We educate the public about Saskatchewan's human history and about the discipline of archaeology; promote the conservation of archaeological heritage resources; and work in partnership with other parties to the benefit of archaeological heritage. Programs and services include: annual conference, field schools, bus tours, workshops, publications, the ArchaeoCaravan, educational resources, and more. Members include both avocational and professional archaeologists, as well as interested individuals and organizations.
