Mary Simon Announced as Next Governor General of Canada

Inuit leader and former Ambassador to Denmark Mary Simon has been announced as the next Governor General of Canada. Born in Kangiqsualujjuaq, in the Nunavik region of northern Quebec, Simon is Canada's first Indigenous Governor General.
