The Saskatchewan Drama Association (SDA) and the Saskatchewan Music Festival Association (SMFA) Spoken Word e-Festival is for Saskatchewan students, ages 5 to 19 years of age and any level. This program seeks to allow students to prepare, perform and develop their ability to speak with purpose to an audience. Entering the Spoken Word e-Festival will give you a chance to work towards a goal, improve your skills, perform and have fun! Competitors must: • live or study in the Province of Saskatchewan, with the inclusion of Lloydminster, AB • perform one selection, from memory, to a maximum of 4 minutes (unless other specifications are noted in the rubric); • submit an entry form online by midnight, June 15, 2020 along with the fee of $20, a biographical paragraph, photo, authorized pdf copy of your selection for the judges, and upload your video recording. Video recordings must include: { The performer’s name { The full title of the selection, author, and publisher { A short introduction to set the selection • Your entry will be posted on SDA’s YouTube Channel. All entries will be adjudicated and awards may be presented. There are 4 categories with three age groups in each. Competitors will be notified by June 30, 2020.
