SWG Fall Conference - Inventing the Future

The SWG Annual Fall Conference and AGM will be held October 22-25, 2020. The theme of our conference is Inventing the Future; an apt theme as we navigate new ways of learning and being together as a writing community. Our conference will look a bit different than “usual” this year, but we’re very excited to bring you a mix of creative online programming and small in-person events in Regina.

We’ve got some of our usual favourite Conference offerings, like our annual Hicks Award and Caroline Heath Memorial lecture and some brand-new options like a weekend-long Virtual Writer-in-Residence program and our new Small Talks series, which are available for conference participants to watch and think about for 30 days.

New this year, we are offering conference attendees the opportunity to submit their work to one of our Conference Virtual Writers-in-Residence, who will be available to discuss your writing between Oct 22-25. We’re excited that Lisa Bird-Wilson, Dave Margoshes and Edward Willett are our VWiRs for the weekend. Space is limited, so get your spots soon!
