ForestART

Come let the brilliance of Saskatchewan’s boreal forest inspire your creative spirit. forestART offers you four days to completely immerse yourself in your own art practice – in a medium you are versed in, or something completely new! Step out of your day-to-day to find a community of like-minded creatives.

Class sizes are restricted to a maximum of 6-10 dependant on class so you receive incredible one on one instruction.

Classes are held outdoors under shaded structures to ensure you are fully immersed with Nature.

We are offering 4 courses this year, with COVID restrictions in place to ensure your safety!

Introduction to Blacksmithing - Working with a coal fire, hammer and anvil, M. Craig Campbell will teach you the basic
skills of blacksmithing in this hands-on class for beginners… at 1400 degrees Celsius! Instructor: M. Craig Campbell

Eco-Friendly Handmade Paper - Explore how to harvest cattail leaves, and other natural fibres to make beautiful
organic paper that can be used for printmaking, greeting cards and one of a kind notebooks. The possibilities are
endless. Instructor: Louisa Ferguson

Digital Photography - Beyond the Happy Accident - This beginner to intermediate photography class is aimed at folks
who want to spend some quality time with their cameras in a beautiful outdoor location. Instructor: Ron Cooley

Off the Grid - Mixed Media - This is an all-levels mixed media workshop focussing on fearless exploration rather than
the outcome. Working with a variety of materials and techniques, you will gain confidence and familiarity with different
stages in the creative process, from the playful inner child to more ‘adult’ refinement. Instructor: Miranda Jones
