Lyell Gustin Series - David Jalbert, piano
Brilliant virtuoso pianist with a warm, elegant style, David Jalbert is among the elite of a new generation of classical musicians. He has been named by CBC / Radio-Canada as one of the 15 best Canadian pianists of all time! A six-time winner of the Prix Opus and recipient of four Juno nominations, Jalbert performs as soloist and ensemble musician, nationally and internationally. His charismatic stage presence, his award-winning CD recordings, and excellence as commentator on music have all drawn high praise.
In this recital–-a return to the Gustin Series by audience acclaim––Jalbert will perform Bach’s Partita no. 1, Beethoven Sonata Opus 109, Chopin’s Barcarolle and Polonaise in C# Minor, and Prokofiev’s Sonata no. 7. Piano masterpieces, a master pianist, all in celebration of over 300 years of The Piano, a concert not to be missed!
Tickets: St. John’s Music, Saskatoon Academy of Music, Gustin Committee, cash at the door, or online at gustinhouse.ca
