Art Gatherings with Harmony Johnson-Harder: Finding Our Common Stories
Join artist Harmony Johnson-Harder for a series of cross-cultural, collaborative gatherings. These are geared towards women of Indigenous, Newcomer, and settler descent.
This initiative brings together women to connect and share stories on how they are shaping their lives and identities in Prince Albert. Everyone is invited to collaborate on visual art projects with Harmony using beads, embroidery, painting, quilting, and more, incorporating respective cultural and personal styles. Each gathering will include a sharing circle, thematic discussions, and opportunities for visiting.
Children are welcome to attend under the supervision of their participating parents; child care is not provided.
There is no charge to participate.
Workshops occur at the Prince Albert Multicultural Council (1410C Central Avenue) on:
- Thursday July 11th, 6:30 PM
- Thursday August 1st, 6:30 PM
Additional dates will be arranged in the fall!
