Banana Musik

The Mann Art Gallery is delighted to present Banana Musik, a play by Regina-based theatre artist Kris Alvarez and family.

In this memory play about aging, reciprocity and care, 50-year-old “immigrant kid” Kris Alvarez gives you a tour of her childhood home – the sights, sounds, smells – to meet her parents, while she takes inventory of ALL their stuff, trying to get to know them better in real time. BANANA MUSIK. A memory play about aging, reciprocity, care – a love letter to “adult-(immigrant) kids paying back parents who gave up everything.”

☛ Friday May 30th at the Mann Art Gallery (142 12th Street West)
☛ Doors: 7:00 PM; play begins at 7:30 PM
☛ Admission: by donation (suggested $10 - $20). No one turned away for lack of funds.
☛ All ages
☛ Running time: 50 minutes

Banana Musik is presented in partnership with the Prince Albert Arts Board and with support from the City of Prince Albert’s Municipal Cultural Action Plan.
