Programming & Technical Coordinator

Reporting to the Technical Director, Key Responsibilities for this position include:
• Supporting the Technical Director in managing the day-to-day operations related to equipment rentals, maintaining equipment inventory/database, maintaining on-site use of equipment and production rooms, creation support programs and managing the website and socials.
• Taking the lead role with membership management.
• Organizing technical training, workshops, screenings and other programming partnerships and opportunities.
• The Programming &Technical Coordinator is expected to provide interactive engagement with members, equipment renters, etc. and as such this position is required to have a physical presence at the Filmpool office. Occasional attendance at events both at the Filmpool and offsite may be required.

Preferred Qualifications include:
• Film production experience and/or experience/education in film and digital cinema equipment
• 2 - 3 years in a programming or event coordination position would be an asset.
• Previous experience working in the not-for-profit sector is an asset.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to juggle multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Familiarity with the film/screen industry and/or community-focused initiatives
• Knowledge of project management
• Problem-solving and decision-making

The position has a salary of $20/hour with an initial work schedule of two 7.5 hour days (possibility of increase in the future), with days of the week variable and flexible to meet the Filmpool needs. Please submit your application, including a cover letter and resume to: tech@filmpool.ca
