Development Coordinator
Children's Festival of Saskatchewan, Saskatoon

The Children’s Festival of Saskatchewan is looking for a talented Development Coordinator to join our team year-round to support our fundraising and sponsorship initiatives! Help be an important part of our team by working closely with the General Manager to develop and strengthen donor, funder and sponsor relationships.
Location: Saskatoon, SK (flexible work available)
* Can be partially remote, but the position requires being in-person for occasional meetings
Part-time, 1 year term
Salary: $12 500 - $15 000 - commensurate with experience

Duties include:
Assist in creating, implementing, and monitoring for success with fundraising goals;
Secure a targeted amount of gifts & sponsorships identified in the fundraising plan;
Solicit Foundation and Corporate Sponsorships for the festival and other events or initiatives;
Coordinate face-to-face solicitations;
Coordinate mail-out and email solicitations alongside the Marketing and Communications Coordinator;
Assist in creating and implementing our donor recognition program, including giving societies and guidelines for annual giving, mid-level, major and planned giving donors;
Participate in the writing of project grants, and seek out new funding opportunities;
Manage our sponsorship recognition, alongside the Marketing and Communications Coordinator and General Manager;
Manage sponsorship payments and donation records, in collaboration with the Financial Coordinator and Administrative Assistant;
Coordinate donor events and initiatives to engage new and existing donors;
Mail or email all tax receipts for donations over $20, in a timely manner.
The ideal candidate will:
have experience in a fundraising or donor relations capacity, or relevant professional experience in a similar role;
have some experience working or volunteering for cultural organizations, ideally with event or festival experience;
have experience with or have an interest in relationship management, sponsorship solicitation, and volunteer leadership;
have experience drafting grant and foundation applications, solicitation letters, etc.
have exceptional communication skills, oral and written;
show evidence of strategic thinking and problem-solving;
be outgoing, creative, professional, and trustworthy;
be personable with strong customer service skills;
be comfortable working alone and as a team;
have experience with Google Workspace; and,
be comfortable communicating via email and video.
