The Gabriel Dumont Institute (GDI), as the official educational affiliate of the Métis Nation-Saskatchewan, serves the educational and cultural needs of Saskatchewan's Métis. GDI offers a variety of accredited educational, vocational and skill training opportunities for Saskatchewan's Métis. GDI houses three Métis-specific libraries, a museum and archives, a publishing department that publishes Métis-specific educational and cultural resources, including the Virtual Museum of Métis History and Culture.
