Prince Albert Historical Society


The Prince Albert Historical Society is committed to the preservation and promotion of the history of Prince Albert and the surrounding area. It operates four museums within the City of Price Albert (Historical Museum, Diefenbaker House, Rotary Museum of Police and Corrections, and Evolution of Education) that interpret different aspects of the 10,000 year history of the region. In addition, the Historical Society also operate the Bill Smiley Archives, which contains over 10,000 photographs and 15,000 documents on regional history and events. Facilities are open seven days a week during the summer, with tours and research services available during the off-season on an appointment basis.
