Playground Safety Workshop
“The purpose of this workshop is to provide the pertinent staff with the necessary training for the inspection and maintenance requirements of playground equipment. The workshop will highlight potential hazard areas to be aware of so as to ensure a safe environment for which children can be active. The workshop will be approximately 2 hours in length with the following topics covered:
- A review of the applicable CSA Standard Z614-20 “Children’s Playground Equipment and Surfacing” regarding the inspection of playground equipment.
- Recommended safety standards that should be maintained for all playground equipment.
- Review of key areas to examine during the inspection process.
- Review of documentation forms that should be maintained for all playground inspections.
- A workbook will be provided for all participants to keep as a reference to our discussions. "
