Petrykivka painting is a vibrant Ukrainian folk art known for its flowing brushwork and richly coloured floral forms. Developed in the village of Petrykivka in central Ukraine, the style reflects a close observation of the natural world, translated into rhythm, movement, and ornament.
In this relaxed evening workshop, artist Marta Krueger will introduce participants to the basic elements of Petrykivka painting and guided through the creation of their own piece. Working step by step, you’ll explore characteristic brushstrokes while developing a composition that is both traditional and personal.
