Mixed media allows artists to integrate a variety of traditional and innovative media in a single artwork. In this one-day workshop, participants will combine drawing, painting and collage on wooden panels using a variety of media and processes. Combining methods such as printing, frottage, stenciling and sponging, participants will alter drawings and printed papers, embedding layers of meaning and transformation in their painting before finishing it with a “faux encaustic” surface. Embrace “adventure” in this experimental one-day workshop for artists of all levels.
