The Library Services for Saskatchewan Aboriginal peoples committee is currently seeking applicants for the position of Coordinator, Saskatchewan Aboriginal Storytelling Project. The successful applicant will help to ensure that the Saskatchewan Aboriginal Storytelling Project continues its growth and success by seeking funding opportunities, coordinating annual SAS events, and reporting to funders. Required duties include, but may not be limited to:

* Work with the SAS committee to continue to develop and evolve the SAS Project

* Contact and liaise with libraries and partner organizations

* Provide orientations and expectations of the Saskatchewan Aboriginal Storytelling Project

* Review with SAS Committee all SAS applications

* Apply for grants based on LSSAP’s projected budget, and seek long term funders

* Promotion of SAS Project

* Follow up on evaluations and collect statistics

* Compile final report and final statistics

* Provide final report to sponsors and partners

* Budget allocations and notify partners of funding received

* Prepare materials for the annual financial review of SAS Project

* Travel when required

* Attend the Saskatchewan Aboriginal Storytelling Launch

* Provide monthly activity reports and website updates to LSSAP SAS committee

* Other duties as agreed upon

The Coordinator, Saskatchewan Aboriginal Storytelling Project reports to LSSAP Exec, and will be paid an hourly rate of $30.00 which is to be paid monthly upon receipt of a activity report to the LSSAP Executive committee.

Qualifications:

·Post-Secondary education in related field

·Successful experience with grant applications

·Knowledge and understanding of Saskatchewan library community

·Ability to work with Indigenous elders and storytellers is desirable

·Knowledge of Indigenous protocols is desirable

·Computer proficiency (Microsoft Office Applications, Zoom, Outlook)
