The City of Regina’s Neil Balkwill Civic Arts Centre (NBCAC) invites applicants for a Studio Technician position in the Digital Media Studio program area.
The individual filling this position will utilize the Neil Balkwill Civic Arts Centre Digital Media Studio space for 10 hours each week as a key aspect for their creative output and development.
The Studio Technician will devote approximately two hours each week during Centre operating hours to perform the following Centre-related duties: equipment maintenance, cleaning, inventory control including ordering materials and equipment, as well as support of programming and potential artist residencies in the Digital Media Studio area.
This is a contract position based on a term of twelve months (September to August) beginning September 1, 2022 and ending August 31, 2023. Applicants must demonstrate required knowledge and expertise in the required area. Experience with 3D modeling, 3D printing, and ability to provide general operational maintenance of 3D Printers (MakerBot) is required.
Compensation will be in the form of 10 hours per week of studio privileges based on a service agreement, as well as an honorarium of $200.00 per month.
