Watrous-Manitou Beach Heritage Centre is seeking a summer student for the position of assistant museum administrator.

Dates of Employment: July 1 – September 2, 2023
Age:15-30 years of age
Hours: Tuesday – Saturday; 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Hourly Wage: $14.50 per hour
Location: Watrous, Saskatchewan

Applicants must be comfortable working with the public, available to work weekends, and have organizational and computer skills.

Duties include:
• Dealing with visitor related interactions within the facility in person as well as over the phone and electronically.
• Providing tours of the museum to customers.
• Front-line customer service to museum patrons and guidance and training to museum volunteers.
• Creating and organizing program activities.
• Assisting with the digitization of object records of the museum’s collections. This involves scanning and saving al physical records so they can be retained digitally.
• Updating and keeping accurate records as requested.
• Assisting with exhibition layout plans and setting up and taking down of exhibits.
• Assisting the administrator in general office duties.
• Providing light duties in museum such as vacuuming, dusting of the exhibit area.
