The WDM Saskatoon is seeking a Volunteer Engagement Coordinator who will support the WDM in achieving its public trust responsibilities through the effective implementation of the WDM Saskatoon’s Volunteer Program. Working directly under the Operations Manager, the Volunteer Engagement Coordinator is responsible for the recruitment, orientation, and evaluation of volunteers and volunteer activities in all areas of Museum operations.

The Volunteer Engagement Coordinator will:
• Become familiar with all aspects of the WDM, specifically the WDM Saskatoon.
• Administer the WDM Saskatoon Volunteer Program including recruiting, orientation, and evaluation of volunteers and volunteer activities.
• Train volunteers where required.
• Assist in identifying and developing volunteer roles and role descriptions to meet the needs of the Museum.
• Schedule volunteers according to the Museum’s needs and supports the involvement of volunteers in all areas of Museum operations.
• Assist with volunteer supervision during events and programs.
• Monitor volunteers’ participation in assigned activities and ensures volunteers receive feedback and coaching as needed.
• Coordinate the planning and organization of volunteer recognition events or activities.
• Ensure volunteer information is current and statistical information about volunteer involvement is accurately collected and reported.
• General office and other duties as assigned.

The work schedule is 72 hours per 2-week pay period. Some weekend and evening work will be required. The position works on-site at the WDM Saskatoon. The successful candidate will be required to provide a criminal record and vulnerable sector check.
