The City of Regina’s Neil Balkwill Civic Arts Centre (NBCAC) invites applicants for a Studio Technician position in each of following areas:
• Woodworking
• Jewellery
Individuals filling these positions will utilize the Neil Balkwill Civic Arts Centre studio space for 20 hours each week as a key aspect for their creative output and development.
Studio Technicians will devote approximately five hours each week during Centre operating hours to perform the following Centre-related duties: equipment maintenance, cleaning, inventory control including ordering materials and equipment, as well as support of ongoing artist residencies and other programming at the NBCAC.
This is a contract position based on a term of ten months (September to June) beginning September 1, 2020 and ending June 30, 2021. Applicants must be practicing artists or crafts people with demonstrated expertise in their field.
Compensation will be in the form of 20 hours per week of studio privileges based on a service agreement, as well as an honorarium of $400.00 per month.
