Global Gathering Place (GGP) is a nonprofit organization serving immigrants and refugees in Saskatoon. We offer a wide range of programming to address the diverse needs of newcomers.
Our Board is an integral aspect of our organization, and we are seeking Board members who are passionate about helping our newcomer community thrive.
Responsibilities include:
-Participating in generative, strategic, and financial discussions to further the mission of GGP
-Serving as an active advocate and ambassador for GGP
-Leveraging your community connections and professional network to support GGP's mission
-Participating in one or more of our board committees
Knowledge and/or skills in one or more of these areas would be an asset:
-Empathy for/familiarity with refugee and immigrant community
-Financial literacy
-Legal literacy
-Fundraising and marketing
-Community leadership
-Strategic planning
-Business or local entrepreneurship
-Board governance
